More Details & Pictures
I am selling a beautiful and unmolested 1987 Suzuki Samurai which is in like new condition.
It’s pretty much all stock except for the Weber carburettor, ceramic-coated, long tube headers, alloy wheels, and leaf spring shackles/bushings.
I have the work and service records, repair manual, professional service/electronics manual, and extra parts (including an extra steering box). I purchased it in 2019 in Olympia, WA.
This is probably one of the cleanest Samurais around! It has an awesome heater and the 4 x 4 works perfectly. The vehicle has only been driven in warmer weather, spring, summer, and fall, approximately 2,000 miles or less per year. It can be driven in the winter. But I have prepped it for and stored it every winter on jack stands. I have never driven it off-road or in snow. I have meticulously taken care of it since day one, as well as for the previous owner. It’s rust-free, except for the standard surface oxidation as seen on the leaf springs and muffler.
The body was professionally repainted, and all seats were professionally reupholstered. All seats match to look like the driver’s seat as shown. Most of the major seals were replaced too.
I would like to sell this before the end of fall when it goes back into storage.
Why I’m selling:
I love this vehicle. I have owned 3 Samurais, and 2 Geo Trackers over the last 35 years. I am selling it for 3 reasons only.
1. I can only drive it about 4 months out of the year where I live (MN).
2. The cost of winter storage is increasing.
3. I need to purchase a larger vehicle for my family and an automatic that my wife can drive.
Specs & details:
Exact color: Safari Tan
Tops: I have several soft tops for this, a bikini top and a safari top.
Mileage: 65,970 as of 9-13-23
Sound system: pioneer front deck with removable faceplate, remote control and high-powered kicker brand speakers in the front and rear.
Suspension: upgraded leaf spring bushings with greaseable bolts and zerk fittings, and upgraded, heavy-duty low-range off-road brand leaf spring shackles.
Gas mileage: around 25 combined city/highway mpg 23 city 27 highway stock. However, I am running a Weber carburettor. So, it is performing better than the original stock carburettor it came with, I.E., in mileage, efficiency, and horsepower (an increase of about 5-7 hp).
Tires: the tires are in like new condition, all season, light truck tires with plenty of tread.
Title: Clean and accident-free
Tabs: expire 4-2024
Car show/interest: my vehicle was displayed in a local weekly wheels car show at Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN. I was asked to show the vehicle in a collector show for O’Reilly auto parts and a fundraiser event for the Boy Scouts of America.
Contact me for more pics and details. I have a lot more images and information for this vehicle.
