I own a 1986 Suzuki Samurai. It is 4wd and has quite a bit of time and money put into it.
***IT IS FOR SALE AS IS AND WILL NOT PASS CALIFORNIA SMOG***
I am willing to trade for a 400/450 quad and cash, or two quads.
MOTOR:
-It was professionally machined. Stock Bore and Stroke, but the head and block have both been decked, and high compression pistons have been installed. Other than that it runs the stock valve-train and camshaft. The water pump, timing belt and seals have been replaced with new parts. It has a stock exhaust manifold on it and catalytic converter, to keep it quiet and clean. On the intake side it has a Weber 32/36 model carburetor on it and a K&N air filter, installed onto a factory intake manifold.
DRIVETRAIN:
-The transmission, transfer case and axles have all been gone through. The transmission and transfer case run stock gearing in them but have been freshened up. The axles however have 4.56:1 gears installed. They are open differential, so no locker or posi-traction units.
SUSPENSION/TIRES/WHEELS:
– The vehicle sits on 32×11.5×15 mud terrains that are at about 95% tread depth. Have not seen much use since installed. They are mounted to 15×10 Eagle Alloy Wheels.
-The suspension consists of a ‘spring over’ conversion from Low Range OffRoad, with the stock leaf springs installed. The shocks up front are nothing fancy but are mounted to shock hoops to allow for the additional space needed for compression cycling of the suspension. They rear has stock shock setups, and have been replaced with a Gabriel twin tube shock, which is a street friendly shock for ride quality.
EXTERIOR:
– The exterior and interior have both been repainted with a color that simulated the factory light blue color. On top of the paint, the lower half of the vehicle has been covered with a bed liner to prevent paint chipping and other damage when off-roading. It has a soft top that is pretty new and has only on 1/4″ tear in the rear of it.
LIGHTS:
– The vehicle has factory headlights with low and high beams, but has also been fitted with LED lights for off road visibility. On the front bumper is a 12″ led bar that draws 72watts of power. It covers your close range stuff. For the down range coverage, I have installed 18watt Cree led cubes on the top near the windshield. They are 30 degree spot lights. To accommodate those, there are 2 10watt 10 degree Vision X lighting spot lights. Those lights alone are $250.
– At night you will have no issue seeing what is in front of you. And for when you back up, any time you put the vehicle in Reverse, there are two more 18 watt flood led squares to light up behind you as well.
INTERIOR:
– The interior, like the exterior has bed-liner covering the floors to ease cleaning after off-roading. It has two bucket seats up front with 5 point harnesses installed. The rear has a bench seat with Buckshot Racing 4 point harnesses. All the harness mounts are secured to either the body or the roll cage securely.
– It has been fully caged through the interior. NO roll bar here.
– There is a CB Radio installed, and operates. There is also a radio installed with Bluetooth capability, USB charge compatibility, and has auxiliary hookups. All the gauges work minus the Fuel Level. The heater system works as designed and all other function of the vehicle work as they should.
