Unfortunately I have to let go of this rust free Tin Top Samurai from California, as my health is not improving as I’d hoped.
Yes, it’s originally from California and I still have a copy of the California title I processed in order to get a Michigan title. It has been repainted, and it’s not great. I assume the California sun baked the original paint. It is VERY solid and straight. It has less than 100 miles on a refreshed cylinder head, new head gasket, and new Toyota 3k carburetor. It starts perfectly, and runs well, no smoke or funny noises.
Clutch is good, as is the trans and t-case. It has new rear brake lines, though the pedal is still a little soft. I vacuum bled the brakes the best I could, but didn’t have help so a quick bleed should solve that. All of the bleeders loosen and tighten fine, which is a huge plus. The body is certainly far above average, though it has a few very small dings you can see in the photos.
The previous owner painted the dash for some reason, but luckily those aren’t hard to find as people part out rotted zuks. It has a shackle lift, and pretty decent 31″ mud terrains.
$4000 OBO, cash talks but I’m not going to give it away. Yes they are cheaper out west, but by the time you ship one you’ll have just as much into it, and finding a tin top this clean for a similar price locally is nearly impossible.
I would ONLY consider trades for a 99+ standard cab short bed Silverado if the body is clean, doesn’t have to run. Or a rust free Jeep Cherokee XJ, again doesn’t have to run. Lastly I’d take LS engines, or LS related parts. I am not interested in any other trades.
