88 Suzuki Samurai I call my little Frankenstein. This is a frame up restore/modification unit. Has many upgrades.
Started with 4 1/2″ Spring Over Axle suspension lift, with 2″ body lift & 2″ lift Bonzai leaf springs front and rear. Both differentials have mini spools (locked) and a matching 462 gears with upgraded chrome-ally axles front & rear. Has 1.5″ wheel spacers on all axles. Rear drum brakes removed and has rear disc brakes. Transfer case has been modified to a 6.5:1 ratio gears and a twin stick to one stick shift with a Mighty Kong cross member.
Engine is a 1.6L fuel injected out of a 1991 Suzuki Sidekick with 75,000 with new timing belt and water pump and seals & gaskets, v/c, oil pan, cam & crank seals. Added the modified wiring harness & stock computer to run the engine. It still has the original 1.3 wiring harness and computer as well but is not hooked up. Radiator is new with an electric fan with a kill switch for deep water crossings. Added the power steering from the 91 Sidekick as well with over the axle steering rods and drag link.
Has reverse shackle kit for the front axle as it makes this very stable and prevents wandering. The steering cupler has been replaced with a universal joint style instead of the rag style from the factory. The exhaust system is a Thorly header with a cat-back exhaust and passes emissions so it is street legal.
Transmission is a five speed manual & is stock with a modified trans cross-member. Both front and rear drive lines are upgraded (custom built) with larger shafts and U-Joints. Clutch has been upgraded to a ceramic disc style with matching pressure plate and throw-out bearing as a kit. Have added an on frame electric fuel pump to supply the fuel with a stock gas tank.
Interior; Full roll cage custom made by Road Runner Fabrications with the floor & doors done in bed-liner by Universal liners here in Mesa. The seats are upgraded to 98 Dodge Durango front seats and the drivers seat is power adjustment. No rear seat but there are bolt holes for the add of a stock rear seat. All door panels and the rear side panels have been replaced with diamond plates and the rear tail gate. Door hinges have been modified to remove the doors at anytime for those beautiful days on the trail.Has upgraded AM/FM CD player with four speakers with USB & Bluetooth capable with a separate 40 channel CB radio with SWR meter for the best signal strength.
Has a newer full top and has been stored in a garage so it is not sun damaged. All door rubbers have been replaced with both manual window regulators. Has a A/C compressor but no other A/C components. I was going to use it as an on board air compressor but have not finished that project. It also has an XRC 8,000 lbs winch with remote control which I have not used for me but have pulled three others out of a bind. Also has shoc-works rock sliders to protect as much as it can. I built this for 33″ tires but have only 31X10.50X15″ Mud King tires on it now. Last but not least it has 2 KC Highlighters on the windshield mounts that light up the night for sure.
Over 15,000.00 invested and looking for 10,000.00 OBO. This has been tested on several trails around our area and keeps up really well with the guys that have much more invested in their riggs. Please contact me @ [REDACTED] if this beast perks your interest.
